Woman Charged with Violating No Contact Order
Claire Hebb, 20, of Newport, was arrested for going to her parents' home to pick up clothing, a cell phone and other belongings.

NEWPORT, RI—A 20-year old woman was arrested on Sunday at 11:13 a.m. at her parents' home. Claire Hebb, 20, of Newport, was charged with violating a no contact order.
Her father called police and said there was a no contact order to protect him. Hebb's mother had opened the door and said her daughter forced her way into the house.
The mother said she was not injured. Police arrived and told the father to remain in his study, while police spoke to the daughter, who was in her bedroom.

Hebb told police she had returned to the house to pick up her belongings. She was charged with violating a no contact order.
Later, at the police station, officers allege she faked an injury in a futile attempt to escape custody. At 7:05 p.m., police allege, Hebb started yelling and screaming in her cell. When the officers responded, she kicked at one of them and also attempted to hit another officer. She was charged with two counts of simple assault and battery, both misdemeanors.
