The film, which first made its debut in 2007, features Jesse Fielding, Mark Towill and Charlie Enright, whom will all be leaving Newport Harbor on July 3 to embark on the Transatlantic Race 2011. Disney, who was a sailor himself, filmed the documentary to follow fifteen rookie sailors aboard the Morning Light in the Transpac Yacht Race.
Along with Oakcliff AAOT, PUMA Ocean Racing Team’s youngest member, Rome Kirby, 22, will be speaking to the audience about the upcoming transatlantic challenge. The night will end with a raffle and Oakcliff All American Offshore Team gear will be available to purchase throughout the evening. All the funds raised will benefit the non-profit Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation (CISF) and Oakcliff AAOT.
