While no decisions were made, officials revisited ideas like a shuttle, a garage, and closer coordination with the state on lot leases, signaling that pressure for solutions is growing.
• New Shoreham Weighs Firm for West Beach Road Stormwater (upriseri.com) — New Shoreham officials are moving ahead on design and permitting for stormwater fixes at the end of West Beach Road, fully funded by a $115,000 state infrastructure grant with no local match. The work, due by August 2027, will refine green drainage solutions near the town's waste site, while any actual construction will require a future grant round and separate council approval.
• New Shoreham Council Delays Adaptive Reuse Vote to Nov. 16 (upriseri.com) — New Shoreham's Town Council has postponed a decision on new adaptive reuse zoning rules until November 16, giving members more time to weigh state-driven housing requirements.
