• North Providence Man Guilty Of Attempting To Sex Traffic Child: Feds (patch.com) — A North Providence resident, Justin Duffer, was convicted in federal court of attempting to pay for sex with someone he believed was a child under 14 after responding to an online ad and arriving at a hotel with cash. Federal prosecutors and investigators say the sting operation, aided by Warwick police, removed a dangerous offender from the community ahead of his January sentencing.
