• Silver Alert issued for missing North Providence woman (wpri.com) — Police in North Providence are urgently asking for help locating 84-year-old resident Sandra Laurie, who hasn't been heard from since Thursday evening and is considered endangered due to health issues. She may be wandering in the Woonasquatucket and Manton Avenue area of Providence. Anyone with information is asked to call North Providence police at 401-231-4533 immediately.
   

• It's more than football on Friday night. Here's the rest of the scores (providencejournal.com) — North Providence High's girls volleyball team pulled off a dramatic five-set comeback win over Rogers, capped by a strong all-around performance from Olivia Geib-Ayala. The roundup also lists other Rhode Island high school scores and notes that Cranston East will visit North Providence for a noon matchup, giving local fans another chance to catch home action.
