The council didn't offer money or a lease, instead voting to ask the fire department whether a fence or locked gate would be allowed, while the mayor pledged to post a custodian outside to deter unauthorized parking.

Man accused of stabbing 2-year-old and mother deemed not a public threat in July (newsnationnow.com) — A man with a long criminal and mental health history, including a 2024 domestic violence arrest in North Providence, is now charged with stabbing a 2-year-old girl and her mother in Providence. Police say he admitted to the attack, and court records show he'd previously been deemed incompetent to stand trial yet allowed outpatient status after state doctors said he wasn't a public threat.
4.
