Warwick Driver Had No Front Plate, Did Have Glock And Pot, Police Say

The Warwick man also did not have a license or permit for the pistol, police said.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A Warwick man pulled over for driving without a front license plate was in possession of a 9 mm pistol, marijuana and THC, police said.

A North Providence patrol officer stopped Kyle Burgos on Mineral Spring Avenue Tuesday for driving without a front plate, police said in a social media post.

"It was also learned that Burgos was driving an unregistered motor vehicle," the post said.

"During the vehicle inventory search, officers located a loaded Glock 19, 9 mm fully loaded with a 10 round magazine, 2 (ounces) of individually packaged marijuana, and THC," according to the post.

Burgos was arrested and charged with license or permit to carry concealed pistol or revolver, possession of a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance, and manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, court records show.

Burgos' bail was set at $40,000 surety and he was ordered to surrender his firearms and passport.
