• North Smithfield School Committee OKs Contract, EMT Lab (upriseri.com) — North Smithfield families should know the School Committee just approved free outdoor field use for most in-town youth groups that handle their own cleanup, and launched a federally funded EMT program at the high school. A revised athletic facilities contract shifts scheduling to the athletic director, while new ambulance simulator equipment and classroom upgrades will support up to 22 students pursuing EMT certification this year.
