Here are the top two stories today in Pawtucket:
- There were over 120 cars towed and 270 tickets during the first parking ban of 2022. Pawtucket police enforced a parking ban for 20 hours from Jan. 6 through the 7th. The reason for the ban was that a winter storm emergency had been declared, so all cars needed to be off the streets to ensure that the roads could be cleared. (The Valley Breeze)
- On Tuesday night, Pawtucket police joined state troopers to respond to an accident on I-95 S. Two vehicles collided causing heavy damage to one another. Traffic continually built up as a fire truck and three ambulances blocked off lanes. The status of the drivers is currently unknown. (ABC 6)
