Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:

1. The first Hispanic Heritage Month Festival, in Pawtucket, was held on Roosevelt Avenue last Friday afternoon, Oct. 15. The inaugural theme was Esperanza Pawtucket. The event featured an evening of arts, food and music. The event was sponsored by the Pawtucket Hispanic Heritage Month Committee in partnership with Mayor Donald Grebien and the city of Pawtucket. 2. The Pawtucket Foundation will host its 20th Pawtucket Proud Day, in which teams tackle cleanup and landscaping projects to spruce up the downtown. Jan Brodie, executive director of the foundation, said at least four or five teams representing 50 people or more are part of different Proud Day initiatives, the latest effort to beautify the downtown.
3. Hasbro, Inc., today released the official programming schedule of experiences for Hasbro Pulse Con 2021, a two-day, free live stream event, featuring a thrilling panel lineup, fan-favorite celebrity guests and must-see music appearances. (TFORMERS)
4. New restaurants are among 30 that have signed on to be part of PVD Vegan Restaurant Week which will feature specials from Oct. 29 through Nov. 7. This is a statewide celebration of vegan cuisines interpreted by local chefs and restaurants. Pawtucket restaurants include Rasoi Restaurant, Wildflour Bakery and Garden Grille.
