PAWTUCKET, RI — A Pawtucket sex offender wanted on numerous charges was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police Fugitive Task Force, police said.
Leandro Gomes, 27, was arrested Tuesday on warrants charging him with failing to register as a sex offender, obtaining money under false pretenses, domestic simple assault, reckless driving or eluding, and failing to appear in court, the state police said in a media release.
"Mr. Gomes was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene," the release said.
