• R.I. Life Science Hub partners with Pawtucket Foundation for healthcare career pathways program (pbn.com) — A new partnership between the R.I. Life Science Hub and The Pawtucket Foundation is launching a healthcare career pathways program focused on Pawtucket residents, especially underrepresented communities. Starting with local high school students, adult learners, and workers, the initiative will offer workshops, mentorships, and employer connections, with plans to expand across Rhode Island while keeping Pawtucket as a key starting point.    

• How to visit Old Slater Mill, where American Industrial Revolution began (northjersey.com) — Old Slater Mill in Pawtucket, part of Blackstone Valley National Historical Park, is open for free ranger-led tours that trace how local waterpower launched the American Industrial Revolution. Visitors can explore the restored 1793 mill, watch a short introductory film, and follow seasonal schedules that offer multiple tour times from spring through late fall.    

• Man arrested on multiple charges in North Kingstown (newportdispatch.com) — A Pawtucket resident, 31-year-old Kyle Martins, was arrested May 29 after a Rhode Island State Police investigation into alleged reckless driving, eluding police, and leaving a crash scene, and was released with a future court date. The same report details two separate DUI arrests in Warwick involving drivers from West Warwick and Connecticut, all first-offense charges processed through State Police Wickford Barracks.
