Massachusetts Man Charged With Pawtucket DUI: Cops

PAWTUCKET, RI — A Massachusetts man was charged with driving under the influence in Pawtucket, police said.

Joao Goncalves, 38, was pulled over and arrested on Thurston Street shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Goncalves, a resident of Fall River, was also charged with refusing to submit to a chemical test, the release said.

Goncalves was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
