Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:
- Investigators said five fires in Pawtucket that broke out within a quarter-mile of each other before dawn Monday were intentionally set. Two homes, two businesses, and a truck caught fire at four different locations within minutes of each other; no injuries were reported. The state fire marshal said an investigation was ongoing and that no arrests had been made. (Turn to 10)
- The Little Sisters of the Poor are seeking donations for their annual "Turkey Drop" at the Jeanne Jugan Residence on Main Street. The residence provides skilled nursing services for elderly individuals in the Pawtucket area. From Nov. 14 through Nov. 20, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the Sisters will gratefully accept offerings of frozen turkeys which will be used for Thanksgiving Dinner and meals throughout the year. The Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Department is launching a fall mini-session for its popular Hi-Low Aerobics class, beginning Nov. 15 and lasting four weeks.
