Here are the top stories today in Pawtucket:

  1. David Dunham, 49 of Cumberland, was identified as the suspect in a series of break-ins in several local communities, thanks to the help of Pawtucket police. Dunham was caught on surveillance video breaking into a cafe and gas station in Somerset, Massachusetts. Together with Pawtucket and Cranston officers and the Rhode Island Fusion Center, Somerset police connected Dunham to other recent break-ins in Seekonk, Attleboro, Swansea, and Smithfield.   2. Senator Sandra Cano of Pawtucket joined Governor Dan McKee and Representative Grace Diaz of Providence in signing legislation that will ensure in-state tuition for Rhode Island students regardless of immigration status. The bill signing took place at the Community College of Rhode Island – Liston Campus in Providence. According to Senator Cano, this bill will "provide ... opportunities for our young students who wish nothing more than to better themselves and their futures through education." (EIN Presswire)
  3. The Pawtucket Public Library is hosting a Toddler Story Class today (Oct. 20) at 10:30 a.m. Toddlers ages 2-3 years old and their adult caregivers are invited to the library for stories, songs, rhymes, and a craft to share social reading fun together.
