- Two local high schools turned their football rivalry into an opportunity to do some good for the community. As part of their "Gridiron Giveback" program, attendees of the Thanksgiving game between St. Raphael and Moses Brown were asked to bring a donation of new or gently used clothing to benefit the Elisha Project, a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide practical needs for families in the community. Representatives from the two football programs then gathered at the Pawtucket-based warehouse utilized by the Elisha Project to drop off an estimated 400 to 500 pounds of donated clothes. (Yurview)
- Teens with the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket recently participated in Drone Day with the New England Institute of Technology. The event was led by Bob Comerford and students from NEIT to expose the teens to STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) activities.
