  1. The lawyer for the teenagers shot at by an off-duty Pawtucket officer has officially filed a notice of claim on behalf of his three clients against the city. Officer Daniel Dolan followed the speeding car of three teenage boys and shot at them on June 23 outside a pizzeria on Nooseneck Hill Road. One of the boys sustained a gunshot wound to the arm. The lawsuit seeks damages for medical expenses, personal and emotional injury, loss of earnings and earnings capacity, and pain and suffering, according to attorney James Howe. (WPRI.com)
  2. More than a year after seeking help for post-traumatic stress disorder, a Pawtucket detective has decided to retire rather than fight the City in court. Major Crimes Detective Dave Silva retired Friday with a regular service pension, said the police union's lawyer Joseph Penza Jr. Silva's decision reportedly stemmed from a lack of support from the police department exacerbating his struggles with his mental health.   3. A Pawtucket man accused by prosecutors of having a "leadership role" in an international fentanyl trafficking operation has been sentenced to 33 years in federal prison. Steven Pinto is one of more than 30 people accused of dealing large amounts of the powerful opioid in the U.S. and Canada. Deaths from the drug traced to the operation have been reported in multiple states. (WPRI.com)
