- The Burbage Theatre Company has produced an original feature-length film adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth," directed by Jeff Church. The film will be presented free for live audiences from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3 at the Wendy Overly Studio Theatre on Blackstone Avenue in Pawtucket. Seats must be reserved on the theatre company's website. (Broadway World)
- Pawtucket's Nelda L. Spitaleri passed away at age 85 on Monday. Born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, she was a longtime resident of Pawtucket and described as a "devoted, loving, thoughtful, and generous mom, nana, great-nana, and dear friend to all." (GoLocalProv)
- Rhode Island's largest nonprofit provider for veterans is in need of food donations for veterans. Such donations are being welcomed with open arms at "Operation Stand Down," located at 1010 Hartford Avenue in Johnston. The nonprofit says it's in need of help to restore and restock the once full pantry. (WJAR)
- A Providence County grand jury returned an indictment charging Quelon Page with murder, discharging a firearm when committing a crime of violence, possession of a pistol without a license, and conspiracy. (WPRI.com)
- A man driving on North Main Street in Providence reported being hit by bullets early Tuesday morning. The shooting happened just blocks from where shots fired at the Providence Fire Station on North Main Street — as well as at Billy Taylor Park — on Friday night. (GoLocalProv)
