Here are the top stories today in Pawtucket:
- Nearly 150 members of the Blackstone Valley Harley Owners' Group (HOGS) gathered this Sunday for its 28th annual motorcycle toy run to benefit Christmas Is For Kids. Toys were collected at the Harley-Davidson store in Pawtucket and driven to the Elks Lodge in North Attleboro for distribution. While last year's ride was canceled due to COVID-19, the HOGS were excited to get back out on the road to spread cheer to local children. (The Sun Chronicle)
- The new "Esperanza" mural representing peace and hope was officially unveiled in Pawtucket's Slater Park this weekend. Artist Gabriel Calle Arango was joined by Mayor Donald Grebien, Senator Sandra Cano, and members of Pawtucket City Council, Pawtucket Advisory Commission on Arts and Culture, and the Parks Commission for the public event. The city encourages everyone who visits Slater Park to stop by and enjoy the artwork. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- Have household hazardous waste lying around at home? Safely dispose of it at the state-wide Eco-Depot in Pawtucket (60 South Bend St.) this Saturday, Nov. 20.
