Welcome to the Pawtucket Daily, your go-to for the scoop on the most important things going down in town.

Hello, people of Pawtucket! It's me again, Nicole Fallon-Peek, your host of the Pawtucket Daily.
First, today's weather:
Some sun, then clouds. High: 53 Low: 38.
Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:
- Democrat Marlena Martins Stachowiak has officially won the special "winner-take-all" primary election for Pawtucket City Council District 6. Martins Stachowiak defeated Patricia DeDora-St. Germain with 56 percent of the vote (300 to 234) and was publicly endorsed by Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien. This was Pawtucket's second special election for City Council this year after Clovis Gregor won the race to replace the late Ama Amponsah. (Valley Breeze)
- Pawtucket police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person of interest connected to this week's arson spree. Yesterday, investigators released surveillance images of the man they believe is responsible for the five fires set on Broadway, Sabin Street, and East Street on Monday. Anybody with information is asked to contact Detective William Figura at (401) 727-9100 ext. 764 or wfigura@pawtucketpolice.com. (WPRI)
- In honor of Veterans Day, the YMCA of Pawtucket is offering service members free membership throughout the month of November. This special membership offer is open to both new and existing Y members, and current non-members can join with no joiners fees. To obtain your free month, simply show your military ID at the desk of the MacColl Y, the Woonsocket Y, or the Pawtucket Family Y. (Valley Breeze)
- The Salvation Army of Pawtucket is one of over a dozen Rhode Island and Massachusetts nonprofit organizations that will be accepting and distributing Thanksgiving feasts to local families in need this season. East Commerce Solutions will donate over 3,300 turkeys and holiday grocery baskets, which will be given out on Friday, Nov. 19 via the participating organizations. This is the area's largest one-day private distribution of holiday meals, and local police will be providing roadway escorts day-of to facilitate the donation deliveries. (WPRI)
