- East Providence mayor, Bob DaSilva, is calling for the release of the report for the investigation into the city clerk's discrimination claims. City Clerk Samantha Burnett claims that the city refused to accommodate her dyslexia. Her claim was investigated by the assistant city solicitor and the findings from the investigation were presented to the Council in a closed executive session. (The Providence Journal)
- The ACLU of Rhode Island has filed a court brief to fight the effort to overturn Rhode Island's reproductive freedom law. This brief supports the Rhode Island Attorney General's position, which defends the legality of the Reproductive Privacy Act. This comes as many anti-choice organizations around the country make efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade. (GoLocalProv)
- The RI Hospitality Association's 18th Annual Economic Outlook Breakfast for hospitality industry professionals predicts the continued recovery of the restaurant and hospitality industries in 2022. (What'sUpNewp)
