  1. Providence County nonprofits have been awarded $1.25 million in federal funding. The new funds will be used to supplement local food and shelter programs for people experiencing winter homelessness. The funding is part of a wider $530 million effort to address hunger and emergency housing needs across the country. (The Wilton Bulletin)
  2. The Pawtucket Police Department has arrested an alleged shooting victim on drug charges. Pawtucket resident 23-year-old Albertini Andrade Moreira was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital when Pawtucket Police executed a search warrant at the victim's home. Police found fentanyl, amphetamines, and cocaine at Moreira's home. Moreira is currently at the hospital in police custody awaiting arraignment. (WPRI.com)
