- The Pawtucket Police Department has entered the She Loves Police Gingerbread Competition, an annual charity content among 30 local police departments to see who can create the best holiday gingerbread house. Officer Kyle Juckett created the Pawtucket PD's entry, which replicated the police headquarters building on Roosevelt Avenue. The winner is determined by a Facebook vote, which ends Monday, Dec. 13th. Cast your vote today by adding a "reaction" to the photo of Pawtucket's gingerbread house! (Pawtucket Police Department)
- Looking for a chance to let loose and sing your heart out? Head down to Rock's Bar at 451 Prospect Street on Thursday, Dec. 9 for Karaoke Night. Have some drinks, play some pool, and make some new friends while you are at it! Karaoke begins at 7:30 p.m. (Pawtucket Patch)
- A Providence police officer was honored on Saturday for his heroic actions that helped return a local infant safely home this summer. Officer David Impagliazzo responded to an Amber Alert from Pawtucket on July 10 about a stolen vehicle with a baby boy inside. He found the abandoned car still running on Nellie Street in Providence, less than a mile from where the infant was taken on Ann Mary Street. The baby was safe in the back seat. The Yoruba Elders of Rhode Island recognized Impagliazzo for his quick thinking during a ceremony at the Public Safety Complex. (WPRI)
