Here are the top three stories in Pawtucket today:

  1. On Wednesday, Michael Alvarado, 22, of Pawtucket, was charged with the first-degree murder of Ferdinand Reyes. Alvarado stabbed the victim outside Star Wine Liquors at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvarado was held without bail at his arraignment on Wednesday. He did not enter a plea and was referred to the public defender's office. (AP News)
  2. Due to the anticipated low temperatures into this weekend, Pawtucket announces warming centers at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center, Pawtucket Public Library, and the Leon Mathieu Senior Center. Specific schedules and locations are posted in the link. (Valley Breeze)
