(WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- The Cape Verdean American Community Development of R.I. is holding two upcoming community events at its 120 High Street headquarters. First up is an "NHA Storia" theater class that runs from Jan. 24 to Feb. 16. - Rhode Island health care and senior living facilities, including Eleanor Slater Hospital in nearby Cranston, have been bringing in COVID-positive employees when faced with crisis-level staffing constraints. COVID-positive workers at hospitals and nursing homes may continue to work under certain circumstances, according to the CDC's new policy. Many RI nursing homes are on a contingency level of staffing, which means they can ask COVID-19 positive workers to return after five days of isolation, regardless of whether they've had a negative test result.
