Here are the top three stories in Pawtucket today:
- Applications are now open for the FY 2023 Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The competitive program supports the City of Pawtucket's partner organizations through grants ranging from $3,000 to $25,000. All applications must be submitted to the City's Planning and Redevelopment Department by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22. (Valley Breeze)
- With low temperatures expected at the end of the week, the City of Pawtucket reminds residents of three available warming centers. The Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, The Leon Mathieu Senior Center, and the Pawtucket Public Library will all provide their services to those in need. - A man was stabbed and killed outside of a Pawtucket liquor store on Tuesday evening. The victim was attacked during an argument near star Wine Liquors on West Avenue around 5:30 p.m. He was taken away in an ambulance and later succumbed to his injuries. (WPRI.com)
