  1. Pawtucket Police Department officers arrested a man and a woman on multiple drug and firearm charges. Police arrested 31-year-old Michael Murray of Lincoln, and 30-year-old Shirley Desjarlais of Foster, after executing search warrants stemming from an investigation by the narcotics unit. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
  2. State health officials in Rhode Island reported to the federal government on Dec. 22 that approximately 88 percent of inpatient beds and 90 percent of intensive care unit beds in hospitals across the state were occupied. Around 13 percent of inpatient beds and 29 percent of ICU beds statewide were filled by COVID-19 patients, they reported. (Pawtucket Patch)
