  1. More snow could be coming to Pawtucket this weekend after scattered light snow showers yesterday. Snow could return Sunday night as a storm sweeps through New England, but it's expected to move quickly. If it slows down, though, AccuWeather reports Rhode Island could see some tangible accumulation. Expect snow showers late Sunday into Monday morning, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation.   2. Cities all over Rhode Island are making plans to spend their American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding in 2022. For Pawtucket, the first priority on the list is affordable housing. The city has set aside $400,000 of its ARPA funds to purchase a vacant medical office building, which the city intends to convert into low-cost housing units. (U.S. News)
  3. Standard Communities has purchased controlling ownership interest in Riverstone Apartments, a 103-unit affordable senior housing community in Pawtucket. Althought the community is comprised of several properties across the city, the main building is a five-story complex along the Seekonk River at 475 School St., with the Downtown Pawtucket Historic District less than 2 miles away. The new owner intends to maintain the affordability of Riverstone Apartments, with units available to residents earning up to 60 percent of the area median income. (Multi-Housing News)
