- A suspect in the attempted kidnapping of an 11-year old girl has been indicted by a state grand jury. They have charged him with the attempted kidnapping of a minor, according to the Rhode Island Attorney General's office. He will be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court in Oct. (WPRI.com)
- Police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting outside a Providence nightclub on Aug. 28. (NECN)
- The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is raising awareness for hunger as a part of a "Feeding America" initiative which takes place during the month of September. (WPRI.com)
