- As Smithfield joins the growing list of Rhode Island towns with "safe stations," Pawtucket is soon to follow in their footsteps. Fire stations in these communities have been designated as harm reduction centers for those seeking help with addiction. Pawtucket's program is set to launch next year, offering assistance and resources as well as fentanyl testing strips.
- Two members of the Boys and Girls Club Pawtucket will soon take the trip of a lifetime. As part of a 70-year-old annual Rhode Island tradition, the Worcester Red Sox surprised 11-year-old Michael Cute and 13-year-old Jeremy Torres with an all-expenses-paid trip to Games 3 and 4 of the World Series. Even though the Red Sox aren't playing this year, they're still top of mind for the two young fans. Said Cute, "I want the Braves to win because the Astros beat the Red Sox." (WHDH)
