Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:
- The three teenagers who were shot at by an off-duty Pawtucket police officer this summer are planning to sue the city. On June 23, Officer Daniel Dolan fired at a car occupied by Domenic Vincent, 18, Vincent Greco, 18, and Joseph Greco, 17, with a bullet striking one of the boys in the arm. Dolan was suspended without pay from the Pawtucket Police Department following the incident and has pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of discharging a firearm. - The Central Falls woman charged with filing a false police report about a child she "found" wandering the Pawtucket highway has been ordered to stay away from the boy. Daniela Peraza Lemus, 22, turned herself in to the police on Thursday and was released on personal recognizance. The accused was an acquaintance of the child's mother and was supposed to be watching the boy when the incident occurred. Central Falls Police and the R.I. Department of Children, Youth and Families are currently investigating the situation. (WPRI.com)
- Progress is happening on the Pawtucket-Central Falls transit hub as Boston-bound trains passed through the partially completed Pawtucket station yesterday. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation estimates a Summer 2022 completion date. (WJAR)
