π± Turkey Express + Car Stolen From Meadow St. Home Still Missing

Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:
- Stop & Shop has partnered with the Boys & Girls clubs of Rhode Island to help local families this Thanksgiving with their Turkey Express event. Beginning today (Nov. 20) at 10:00 a.m., volunteers at the Stop & Shop on Cottage Street in Pawtucket will load over 20,000 pounds of turkey and side dishes into Boys & Girls club trucks from around the state. The program will deliver 21,500 turkeys to 25 community partners and hunger relief organizations across New England. (ABC 6)
- A Pawtucket man whose car was stolen from his Meadow Street home is seeking help in finding his vehicle. Last weekend, Will Amaya left his black Hyundai Tuscon warming up in the driveway when a "light-skinned male with a red hoodie and black shoes" was caught on a home security camera hopping in the unattended car and driving away. So far, the Pawtucket Police have no leads in the case. (ABC 6)
- Federal and local investigators are increasingly concerned about the rising level of counterfeit prescription pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine coming into Rhode Island. The office of Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha says it "prosecutes a significant number of cases involving counterfeit prescription pills containing fentanyl," including two high-profile Pawtucket cases in the last two years. According to the R.I. Department of Health., more than 380 people fatally overdosed last year in Rhode Island, the most of any year since at least 2014. (WPRI)
- Registration is now open for the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket's Teen Basketball League. The league runs from January through March and is open to youth ages 13 to 15. To register your child, stop by the Club (1 Moeller Place) Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket)
