🌱 Wrong-Way Crash On 146 + Kip's Restaurant Closes + COVID Tests

Here are the top three stories today in Pawtucket:
- A Pawtucket woman was arrested following a wrong-way crash that sent one person to a nearby hospital. Rhode Island State Police report that the crash took place on Route 146 South near the Admiral Street off-ramp and involved three cars. Dulcelena Tavares, 20 years of age, was charged with driving under the influence and driving to endanger resulting in injury. (WPRI.com)
- Famed diner, Kip's Restaurant, is closing its doors after feeding Pawtucket for 63 years. The diner located on Armistice Boulevard was known for its hot dogs and fish and chips. Kip's Restaurant has been forced to close, as the property owner sold it and nearby property to developer Newport Avenue Realty, LLC, so it could build a Chase Bank. (The Times)
- The City of Pawtucket has opened two distribution locations for take-home COVID-19 tests. The distribution centers will be located at Leon Mathieu Senior Center and Pawtucket Public Library. Tests are limited to one per person and are for Pawtucket residents who can show proof of residency. Tests will be distributed as long as supplies last. (pawtucketri.com)
