83-Year-Old Portsmouth Woman Killed by Vehicle
A Portsmouth resident was driving the vehicle that struck the elderly pedestrian.

An 83-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a motor vehicle around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim was identified as an 83-year-old Portsmouth resident.
The driver was Portsmouth resident Barbara Krensavage, 58, of 76 Lambie Circle.

Krensavage was driving a 2014 Mazda 6 northbound on Sea Meadow Court. She crossed over the southbound lane of travel and struck the pedestrian who was walking along the shoulder of the road.
The pedestrian was transported to Newport Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Krensavage was charged with driving to endanger resulting in death and reckless driving.
She was arraigned in court on Monday.
The Portsmouth Police Department are investigating the accident.
