AAA: Gas Prices Drop Another 5 Cents
Gas prices continue to decline for third week in a row.

For the third week in a row, gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down from the previous week, this time by an average of five cents per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England. Prices have fallen 13 cents over those three weeks.
AAA’s May 31 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.92 per gallon, down five cents from a week ago. The current price is 14 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.78. Â
A year ago at this time, Rhode Island’s average price was $2.79.

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $3.729 to a high of $4.109. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.          Â
