AAA: Gas Prices Drop Another 5 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down another five cents over last week, according to AAA Southern New England.  

AAA’s June 13 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.82 per gallon, dropping a nickel from last week, and falling 23 cents in the last four weeks. The current price is twelve cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.70. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $2.74—more than a dollar lower than today’s numbers. 

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 25 cents, from a low of $3.68⁹ to a high of $3.93⁹. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

$4.12⁹ ($3.92⁹-$4.49⁹)  Premium Unleaded  $4.08⁹ ($3.92⁹-$4.24⁹)

$4.02⁹ ($3.91⁹-$4.13⁹)  Diesel    $3.98⁹ ($3.94⁹-$4.01⁹)
