Portsmouth's own Abbey Rhode was the highlight of the party held at Greenvale Vineyard on Saturday to thank supporters of Portsmouth's 375th anniversary celebration last year. Greenvale's 375th label "Skipping Stone" white wine was very popular as the crowd listened to great Beetle songs. Our 375th Parade Grand Marshall Louis Escobar was there in fine fettle enjoying the friendly gathering. A 375th Time Capsule was displayed and sealed for the 400th Anniversary Committee to get started planning their celebration in 2038. It will be stored in an undisclosed location for the next 24 years or so.
We regretted that many people were unable to to attend due to school vacations and other commitments but the spirit of 375 was in good shape and made for a very enjoyable evening at beautiful Greenvale Vineyard. Our thanks to all who helped us out over the past year.
