2. Documentary tells R.I.'s Revolutionary War story (eastbayri.com) — A new 18-minute documentary on Rhode Island's Revolutionary War history, including the 1778 Battle of Rhode Island, is now available online after premiering at the Portsmouth Historical Society in July. The film highlights local sites like Quaker Hill, the role of the 1st Rhode Island Regiment, and Black soldiers who gained freedom by enlisting, giving Portsmouth residents a concise, accessible way to explore their area's Revolutionary past.

3. A soggy start for many high school teams on Tuesday. Here's who won (newportri.com) — Portsmouth High teams had a mixed, rain-soaked start to the week, with girls soccer falling 2-1 to East Greenwich and girls volleyball swept 3-0 by Classical despite strong efforts from several Patriots. The roundup also lists today's Portsmouth home games in soccer, tennis, and volleyball, helping local families track when and where students are playing across Rhode Island.

4. DEM seeks boat operator after swimmer struck in Bristol hit-and-run (turnto10.com) — A swimmer was struck by a boat near Usher Cove in Bristol, and investigators say the operator then headed toward Portsmouth after leaving the scene. Rhode Island environmental police are asking anyone who may recognize the described white bowrider-style boat or its gray‑haired male operator to come forward.
