• Police: DUIs, knitting needles, and an unruly bus passenger (eastbayri.com) — Recent Portsmouth police activity includes several DUI arrests on local roads, a domestic assault involving a knitting needle, and an unruly RIPTA bus passenger near the Mt. Hope Bridge. Officers also handled domestic vandalism, an incident on Prudence Island's Sandy Beach, and a case of providing alcohol to minors, giving residents a clear snapshot of current public safety issues.
