• Tiverton Schools Face $780,618 CTE Tuition Gap (upriseri.com) — Portsmouth's CTE programs are at the heart of a new Rhode Island tuition formula that sharply raises what Tiverton must pay, with Portsmouth's per-student charge jumping more than $7,000 and invoices already arriving. Tiverton officials warn this change, plus possible retroactive billing, could shift hundreds of thousands in education costs and state aid between Portsmouth and neighboring districts while an appeal and legislative fixes are pursued.
