Portsmouth Youth Basketball Online Registration to Begin Oct. 1

Portsmouth Youth Basketball (PYB) will begin online registration for the 2011-2012 season on Saturday, Oct. 1. 

PYB is open to boys and girls in grades 2 to 8, and focuses on fundamental basketball skills in a positive environment centered on sportsmanship and teamwork.

PYB will offer 4 divisions of league play which will include Rookies (2nd Grade), NCAA (Grades 3rd & 4th), Jr. NBA (Grades 5th & 6th) and NBA (Grades 7th & 8th). The NCAA, Jr. NBA and NBA divisions will include individual girls and boys teams while the Rookies division will be co-ed. Games will be held on Saturdays with a practice being held during the week at multiple gym locations which include Portsmouth High School and The Pennfield School.

Online registration will close on Saturday, Nov. 5, and it is recommended players register as soon as they are able due to limited space. The cost for the program is $100 per player with a family maximum of $225 and the skills evaluation will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12, at .
