VIDEO: Artisan Coffee Trend Comes to Portsmouth

is now offering a service being provided more and more at coffee shops throughout the country. 

"Artisan coffee" can now be purchased at the Portsmouth coffee shop. The forms of artisan coffee available include a slow pour, which costs $3.29 a cup, and a pressed-pot service. 

George Doumaney, co-owner of Custom House Coffee, talks about the two different forms in the video above. 

The new services are being offered as a response to customer requests. "It was customer demand," Doumaney said. 

Artisan coffee is not currently available at the Middletown Custom House, but Doumaney says he hopes to offer the feature at their new store in Fall River, MA, which is slated to open this June.

The new coffee shop will be located at 1082 Davol St., along the water near Battleship Cove.
