Boys Town Shows its Holiday Spirit at annual Tree Lighting

Boys Town New England held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

The frigid air had no effect on the Portsmouth community when it came to stepping out for the Christmas Tree lighting this past Wednesday. People went from house to house, enjoying food and refreshments and mingling with the amazing staff that makes up the Boys Town New England organization.

In their sixth year of running, Boys Town has brought awareness not only to Portsmouth, but also to all of Rhode Island.

According to John Etzell, home teacher in the Etzell House, in this year alone, the organization has served more than 250 children and brought on lots of local donors.
