The word is that ABC 6 News will be doing a live broadcast of tomorrow's "Polar Dive to End 375" at 12 noon at Island Park Beach. Come on down and be part of the show. The dive is open to anyone, but if you would like to make a pledge to the 375th Library History Project fund or purchase some 375th anniversary memorabilia, we welcome donations. The dive itself will start at 1200 noon in what will probably be 20 degree weather - brrrrr! All we need to do is jump in, jump out, and then head down Park Avenue for the Beach House after-party. Fifteen local restaurants and businesses are donating food and hot coffee and if you actually take part in the dive, you can add your name to the large poster on the wall that will become a part of Portsmouth's history.
You will also want to be there when we turn over the 375th celebration to representatives from Newport, who start their 375th year on 1 January.
