Clean Ocean Access will Clean Up Gull Cove Fishing Area on Nov. 15

Come on down and lend a hand!

Clean Ocean Access has organized a cleanup of the Gull Cove Fishing Area on Nov. 15 and volunteers are always welcome to come and pitch in.

The cleanup will begin at around noon and Gull Cove Fishing Area is located off Route 24 and 138 North, just before the Hummocks Road and Common Fence Point exits.

The folks from Empire Tea and Coffee will be on hand to offer hot beverages.

This is the first cleanup for Clean Ocean Access at the Gull Gove Fishing Area.

Volunteers expect to find marine debris as the spot is a popular boat launch.

Gull Cove Fishing Area provides access to “The Cove,” a shallow area at the north end of Aquidneck Island and easy access to both the Sakonnet River and Mount Hope Bay.

The site is one of several state Department of Environmental Management public boat ramps.
