Cory Farms Gears Up for Memorial Day Fun, Grand Opening, Car Show

The fun starts on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the grand opening of Cory Farm's brand new antique gallery.

It's quite a busy weekend over at Cory Farms Past and Presents this Memorial Day weekend.

The fun starts on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the grand opening of Cory Farms brand new antique gallery. At the same time, they'll be showing off a the fresh rebuild of one of the bucolic property's old barns housing the gallery, which is now an open, airy and elegant space where you'll find one-of-a-kind music boxes, an RCA Victor and high-end pieces owner Denys Eftekhar and her husband have in their seemingly endless collection of treasures.

And then there's the Annual Antique Car Show, where you'll find Farmall tractors, Packards, Cadillacs, and other examples from Eftekhars' husband's collection, which numbers more than a dozen. The crown jewel of the collection is a monolithic 1928 Packard which will be on hand among others brought by friends.

There will also be special sales inside the main shop, which is just a small part of the burgeoning enterprise at Cory Farms Past and Presents.

Owning a store like this has been a decades-long dream for Eftekhar, and she now finds herself the steward of an historic farm property that has already seen a huge amount of sweat equity and renovation with much more to come.

The fun continues on at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Corey Farms Past and Presents is located at 3124 East Main Road.
