Cranston Sex Offender, 26, Accused Of Sexual Assault On RIPTA Bus

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Cranston man is again facing charges after he was accused of repeatedly groping a woman on a RIPTA bus in Portsmouth, police said. 26-year-old Nathaniel Parrott, is a Level 3 registered sex offender.

According to police, Parrott was sitting behind a woman on the bus Monday afternoon when he reached forward several times and grabbed her. The woman then told the driver, who called the police.

Parrott was charged with second-degree sexual assault and held overnight ahead of his arraignment Tuesday, police said. He was on probation following his release from the Adult Corrections Institute in Cranston last month.
