The late Terry Lynn “Sam” (Damms) Chiodo boarded a RIPTA bus on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, just outside the Portsmouth Multi Purpose Senior Center on Bristol Ferry Road.
Shortly after boarding the bus, Chiodo was fatally stabbed.
Her estranged husband, Christopher James, allegedly attempted to leave the bus. He ordered the bus to stop at the overlook near Lehigh Terrace. Two passengers stopped James, who is now facing charges of first-degree murder.
