Escobar's Farm Offers One "Maizing" Good Time
Escobar's Highland Farm corn maze wows visitors on opening day.
Last Friday was opening day for Escobar's Highland Farm Corn Maze, located at 251 Middle Road.
Sure enough, the corn maze, now in its 11th season at the farm, attracted both local and international visitors.
A family from England, spending their summer vacation in Newport and heading to New York City in the morning, stopped by to check out the maze. The Mellville family became lost and lost again, laughing and smiling the entire time.

"Corn cops," employees hired to help those lost find their way out of the maze, were on hand to assist the Mellville family.
Despite the twists and turns, the Mellville family made it out of the eight-acre labyrinth, which is designed to honor the local dairy farmer complete with a Rhody Fresh design.
