This week-long 100% hands-on lively cooking camp will take children (11 years-old up) on a culinary tour of 5 world cuisines: Mexican, Italian, French, Indian & Asian. Each day we’ll make a 3-course meal completely from scratch, emphasizing the use of healthy, sustainable and local ingredients. Children will learn about recipes, ingredients, food & kitchen safety, knife skills, healthy eating and teamwork – all while having fun!
Each child will leave with their own Recipe Binder that can grow with them as they add their own favorite recipes to the ones we learn at Cooking Camp. We’ll also take tips & cues from the national “Kid’s Cook Mondays” campaign that encourages families to make Monday night a family meal that the kids plan and cook. Studies show that learning to cook highly increases the likelihood of healthier lifestyle choices.
